Purpose of the program

We aim to bring some peace of mind and support to innocent souls, affected by the war in Ukraine. We wish to be supportive and to help the refugee children so they can benefit from a series of activities, each day in the center, activities that will provide them with something to do and, at the same time, a minimal continuity of their personal developments / education; "" initiative and ideea appeared on 2022 March 4 and the first 3 Kaia centers were installed and organised wednesday, 2022 March 9.

Volunteer activity description:

• Organising of the toys in ;
• Guiding / supporting children during their playtime;
• Other activities like art & kraft (depending on the volunteers abilities);
• Other educational activities like introduction to english language / romanian (mostly in the long term stay centers);
• Cleaning / desinfecting the avilable materials in the activity centers

Subordonation:

• The volunteer coordinator from ;
• The coordinator of the refugee center (from social assistance services);
• You will be in direct relation with: other volunteers from the project / refugee center (translator);

Activity conditions:

• Length: throught the existence of at the refugees centers;
• Hours: morning / noon / evening / in weekend, depending on your preference.

Where:

In the centers, organised by us at the refugees centers of the local authorities from Romania / private entities as directed by the The volunteer coordinator from .

Available resources:

• toys (for smaller children);
• drawing and painting materials like craions / aquarelles / cariocas / paper;
• games (for older children);
• cleaning / disinfecting materials for the resources from the s.

Necessary knowledge / abilities:

• communications skills;
• ability to do soliciting physical and mental activities;
• verbal communication ability (in english);
• teamwork;
• ability to manage and work with details;

To run the program in full safety, the organiser, Agentia V+O Communication had established a few rules.

The status of Kaya Activity Centers is one of temporary activities center.

These rules are about the contact with the children from the refugees centers and their tutors to prevent the infection with SARS-CoV-2 and to run the activities fully secure, but also some general mandatory safety rules.

Upon entering / the refugees centers, the VOLUNTEER must respect the following rules / precautionary and safety (sanitary / personal) measures:

1. Must wear the protection mask (medical / non-medical) provided by the activities center, which for a proper protection must cover both the mouth and the nose;
2. Must disinfect daily, and any time is necessary, the materials from the centers using the provided desinfectants;
3. Can request the Coordinator of the center / the designated person for the cleaning, support for cleaning the surfaces used for the activities (floors / walls / windows);
4. To discard the papers / toys / games and the printed materials that are damaged;
5. Must avoid touching the face / eyes using non-desinfected hands;
6. Must wash hands as often as needed;
7. Must avoid entering the Kaia centers if they present SARS-CoV-2 symptoms (fever, cough etc);
8. Must aerate periodically the activities spaces where there are conditions to do so (especially in the medium term centers);
9. Must announce the Volunteer Coordinator from and the Coordinator from the refugees center (from social assistance services) any urgent situation that necessitate the intervention of a medical crew;
10. Must not express in public own opinions regarding the conflict that generated the situation for the kids and adults from the centers;
11. Must not post in any public avenue images from the refugees centers / Kaia activity spaces from the centers, without the written consent of the organiser, signed by the Communication Coordinator of the Program / Program Manager.
